We were three couples who are veteran travelers who chose the travel agency in San Augustin for our 12-day trip to Colombia in April 2024: first timers to this country. As we evaluated travel agencies Chaska's communications, expertise, sincerity and clock-like efficiency were a standout. It proved to be an excellent choice.

From the planning, execution and subsequently managing the group in real time - in our 3 decades of travel - our travel planner was by far the best travel agent we have had, in every way.
At the planning stage, he provided the best value of anyone we talked to, kept things in budget and his advice on itineraries was excellent. His honesty, attention to cost and balancing it with our needs was so good that after the first couple of conversations I was happy to just allow him to construct the package knowing he clearly had our best interests at heart. His wisdom and advice were apparent as we were subsequently in the midst of travel.

We spoke no Spanish. Whether it was arranging all the internal flights and seating, providing boarding passes in real time, accommodating luggage variations, communicating everyday with travelers as well as our guides, accommodating emergencies/ changes or ensuring appropriate accommodations by communicating directly with hotel front desks at every location: Our agent was always available and cheerful. His attention to detail was astounding - and exceeded all expectations.

Finally, the experiences, guides and schedules he provided were excellent. Even our guides mentioned that what our travel agency provided for us were out of the customary & ordinary things that other larger travel agencies provided. The guides were uniformly & sincerely complimentary of the planning: truly the highest compliment coming from them. Whether it was the guide in Medellin, the experiences in Salento & Cocora valley, the visit to Cartagena or, the outstanding experiences in Bogota (especially the catered meal and the fruit market tour both with a specific 2-person team which exceeded expectations) - he truly made it a memorable trip.

People will have many choices of Travel Agencies for Colombia travel, some quite large. My advice: don't waste your time, energy or money. Forget about itemizing and micromanaging, Chaska Tours is a great option! You will not be disappointed.
